Born and raised in Russia as the daughter of a master tailor she followed her mother’s tracks and did her apprenticeship as a couture artisan. She graduated with distinction from the renowned German Master Craftsmen School for Fashion (Deutsche Meisterschule für Mode) and later from the Akademie für Mode & Design in Munich. While working for internationally renowned brands Irene Luft founded her own eponymous label. Ever since the first day Irene launched her Label she is known for her spectacular handmade couture dresses for private customers and her strong yet wonderfully feminine idea for her Prêt-à-Porter and occasion wear designs. Irene Luft is a regular attendant at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin where her fashion shows are a statement, each time.
